PO: Aziz Ansari’s Intimate Moments For A Sensual Evening

Ansari, Aziz – Intimate Moments For A Sensual Evening

I’m not sure how many are you were familiar with Mr. Ansari before Judd Apatow’s Funny People earlier this year, but his character Randy was just another in a long line of funny moments for Aziz. I first caught wind of him via MTV’s Human Giant and have since seen him light things up in Flight of the Conchords as a racist fruit vendor and the aforementioned Randy from Funny People (who is getting a spin-off movie of his own). Basically – he’s a funny, hyper-active mother fucker and I bet this thing is awesome.

Plus – how often do comedy albums come out on wax anymore? Should be in-stock in a couple weeks, comes out mid-Janruary!

PO: Death Cab For Cutie’s Transatlanticism (2xLP)

Death Cab For Cutie – Transatlanticism

After being out of print forever and nearly impossible to find, we were able to score a few copies of the German import version that should be here next week. 2 records, each pressed on 180 gram vinyl. I know the price is steep but it sure beats playing $75-$100 on eBay. :)

PO: Alkaline Trio’s This Addicition (Vinyl)

Alkaline Trio – This Addiction (Vinyl)

This went live last week but haven’t had a chance to announce it on the front page. The new album from punk stalwarts, Alkaline Trio, hits stores on February 23rd via Epitaph Records and their own Heart & Skull Records and is supposed to be a classic skate punk album, back to old sound, yada, yada, yada. I don’t give a shit what style of music this album is as long as it is new Alkaline Trio music. :)

Sure, a lot of their splendor comes from the older albums but you won’t find anyone over at Nerd Alert Records embarrassed to know the words to all the songs off the past couple albums. Fucking love this band and cannot wait to hear this album. :)

Vinyl includes a MP3 download card for the album (this does not include the bonus tracks from the deluxe CD/DVD set though).
