PO: Alkaline Trio’s This Addicition (Vinyl)

Alkaline Trio – This Addiction (Vinyl)

This went live last week but haven’t had a chance to announce it on the front page. The new album from punk stalwarts, Alkaline Trio, hits stores on February 23rd via Epitaph Records and their own Heart & Skull Records and is supposed to be a classic skate punk album, back to old sound, yada, yada, yada. I don’t give a shit what style of music this album is as long as it is new Alkaline Trio music. 🙂

Sure, a lot of their splendor comes from the older albums but you won’t find anyone over at Nerd Alert Records embarrassed to know the words to all the songs off the past couple albums. Fucking love this band and cannot wait to hear this album. 🙂

Vinyl includes a MP3 download card for the album (this does not include the bonus tracks from the deluxe CD/DVD set though).

Photos: Alkaline Trio’s Crimson 2xLP

Our copies of Alkaline Trio’s Crimson reissue came in Friday night. This is a couple photos from our personal copy. All our copies are numbered between 300 – 500 (or so it appeared) and are supposed to only be on white.

These will be shipping out tomorrow morning to all pre-orders!

PO: Alkaline Trio’s Crimson – Vinyl

Alkaline Trio – Crimson (Vinyl)

The often delayed repressing of Alkaline Trio’s 2005 effort, Crimson, appears to finally be on course for release this December. This colored double LP pressing features a full color, double-sided 12″x12″ insert and…um…huh – nada. Couldn’t even add the bonus tracks ala Good Mourning’s double LP release? Whatever, not gonna stop these Trio collectors from gobbling up one of each color. Shit. 😛

Lots of updates!

I must apologize for the lack of updates here recently. With the birth of our first child, Bonnie’s recovery from the pregnancy and other issues in-between, I have been holding down the fort essentially alone and there is only so much I can accomplish in a day, so these posts had to go by the way side. But things are starting to look up, and once we can get Ilan’s  esophagus condition under control, we should be back to full power.

Anyways, I’ve been brewing up some ideas to get a little extra cash in as a coule canceled pre-orders, a hyper-active distributor that sent us more merch than we were ready to handle (and pay for) as well as all the missed work from the birth that has put our December well in the red. I was going to roll them out tonight, but I’m thinking of putting them together in a post-Christmas sale kind of thing. We’ll see in the next couple of days. 🙂

Anyways, here’s some new stock to the store that has gone up in the past couple weeks (though far from everything that has actually gone up):

New to the Store: A Wilhelm Scream, Alkaline Trio, NOFX, Boys Night Out

Here is the first of many catch-up records that need to be put up in the store. As Bonnie is nearing her due date for our baby (November 19th!), her energy level has been dropping and that leaves just me trying to run our entire business. There is enough work to keep 2 people busy forever with this business, but just 1 person? Hard to keep up, gotta say. Not that I’m complaining, I just wanted to let anyone wondering if we were having issues know that everything is just fine, there’s just not enough time in the day (or night) to get everything done currently and that will not change until late November, early December when baby is here and Bonnie has more or less recovered from the birth.

This has not affected our ability to ship records only everything else, heh. ;P

A Wilhelm Scream – Career Suicide (Blue)

 Alkaline Trio – Goddamnit (Red/White)

Boys Night Out – Broken Bones And Bloody Kisses (180 Gram)

Preorders, restocks, new section!

Where to start, where to start? First off, we’ve got more and more preorders going up, some new records to the store, some restocks and a new section. New section is titled, ‘Coming Soon,’ which is where we’ll be sticking records we have heard or known are coming at some point, but that’s all we know. Just a little informational section, plus it’ll be a little less work for us in the long run.

Some exciting news to report though. First off, we paid for our next exclusive color last week or so and now we’re just waiting to announce it. Its going to be an awesome package for an awesome reissue. It will be a LP + 7″ set (it was never released as such so that is not going to be a useful clue) and our color is supposed to be clear. That’s all you get to know for now. 🙂 Second, we have nearly finalized our order from the Bloodhound Gang to carry most of the vinyl they have for sale at their online store. I love the BHG but tracking down their vinyl is far too hard. I hope to have preorders up sometime this week. Third, we are currently in the talks with Reel Big Fish to carry their “Monkeys” double LP picture disc that has only been available from their online store and on tour. These are pricey sets, but they come from France and there are currently no plans to make more. Hopefully that will pan out and we’ll be able to sell them for less than the $30 they are charging right now.

Okay, time for the stock updates, in no particular order:

Another day, another stock update!

More odds and ends, along with the stuff we got from Atlanta, GA based No Brakes Records. They helped put out the Benard / Worn In Red split with Alaska Records and have sold us some pretty good 7″s, including crazy limited editions of the new Rock Paper Stupid 7″ (like 16 and 7 press runs limited). Should have the rock stuff caught up tomorrow, which then leaves us with the hip-hop section to address, then we’ll be caught the fuck up. Woo!

PS: If anyone was having troubles ordering, especially the international folks, we fixed the postage problems and I am hoping it will now be smooth sailing.

PPS: About to go figure out who is getting a Saves The Day test pressing – is it you? 😉

Adolescents – Adolescents (Opaque Pink)

Alkaline Trio – Help Me

Holy Shit / Turd Hungry Christ – Split

Lamb Of God – New American Gospel (2xLP)

Less Than Jake – Does The Lion City Still Roar? (UK)
